Netflix announces an anime adaptation of the martial arts series ‘Garouden’ is heading to the platform next month

Garouden, the story of a martial artist on the run from law enforcement who is pulled into an illegal tournament, is getting a new anime adaptation by Netflix.

Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf is based on the long-running martial arts novel series written by Baku Yumemakura. The series follows the life of a powerful fighter who is pulled into the illicit world of underground fighting. The first Novel was published in 1985 and has seen regular releases, with there being 18 releases at the time of writing.

The anime adaptation’s trailer shows plenty of fighting action and intrigue.

Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf premieres on Netflix on May 23rd.
