Anime fans are already hooked on the anime adaptation of Kaiju No 8., with its stunning visuals and gigantic action. Shonen Jump is celebrating it and welcoming new fans by making the first seven chapters for free for a limited time on Shonen Jump.
Shonen Jump offers a library of classic & new manga series and their latest chapters through the web browser and through the Shonen Jump mobile app. Numerous manga titles are available, including One Piece, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and more, with subscribers getting access to every chapter.
Kaiju No. 8 is written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto and published in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ imprint. The series is set in a Japan regularly under siege by giant monsters called Kaiju, it has been a lifelong dream of childhood friends Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro to join the Japanese Defense Force and fight the monsters. But when Kafka fails the test and is forced to get a job cleaning up after monster attacks, a chance encounter gives him the ability to turn into a kaiju.
The manga series has quickly become a must-read for action fans. The anime adaptation is The anime adaptation is directed by Shigeyuki Miya & Tomomi Kamiya, and written by Ichirō Ōkouchi, with music by Yuta Bando. The series is produced by Production I.G., with Studio Khara (the Japanese animation studio founded by Neon Genesis Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno) supervising the kaiju designs.
