Akiba Maid War heads to Blu-ray next month

Sentai Filmworks is releasing the crime-filled maid series Akiba Maid War on Blu-ray, sure to be a must-buy for fans of the blood-filled series.

In an alternate past, the otaku paradise of Akihabara was an unsavory hive of scum and villainy. One thing, however, is sort of the same: Maid Cafés! Except maids are the enforcers and assassins for corporate corruption… which is unfortunate for new maid Nagomi, who was too blinded by the cutesy uniforms and clever waitressing tricks to understand the darker reality of the maid business until she’d already joined the seemingly sweet Oinky Doink Café with Ranko Mannen. Now that’s not ketchup on table 5 as the carnage erupts in AKIBA MAID WAR!

Akiba Maid War is an original anime series produced by Cygames and P.A. Works. The series follows a young new cafe maid who quickly learns that it’s not all about being cute and helping customers, as she discovers a secret and bloody war between the maid cafes of Akihabara. The series was directed by Sōichi Masui and written by Yoshihiro Hiki, with character designs by Manabu Nii, and music by Yoshihiro Ike.

The Akiba Maid War Complete Collection includes all 12 episodes of the series in English, English SDH, and Japanese with English subtitle options. Special features include textless versions of the opening and ending animations, Japanese promos, and web previews.

Set for release on March 12, 2024, you can pre-order your copy now over on Sentai Filmworks. The series is available to stream now for U.S. fans on HIDIVE.
