The ‘Blade of the Immortal’ English dub premieres on HIDIVE next week!

The 2019 anime adaptation of the historical dark fantasy Blade of the Immortal is heading to HIDIVE on October 30th with an English dub.

“Manji, the Slayer of Hundreds, has been cursed with eternal life — but in the dark of his existence shines a final glimmer of hope. If he can slay 1,000 evil men, Manji will finally be able to end his life of infinite misery. When a young girl named Rin asks him to help her take revenge on the group of master swordsmen who slaughtered her family, Manji finds some resemblance to his lost younger sister in her and decides to come to her aid.”

Blade of the Immortal is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiroaki Samura. The series follows Manji, a rōnin reluctantly made immortal, he sets out to kill 1,000 evil men to make up for past sins and end his eternal life. The series has two anime adaptations, the first released in 2008 and the second in 2019. It has also been adapted into a live-action film in 2017.

The 2019 version was animated by LINDENFILMS, directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki, with the English crew features Shannon D. Reed as director, David Lascoe and Ricardo Contreras as audio engineers, and Joel McCray as ADR Writer. It stars Andrew Love and Juliet Simmons.

The Blade of the Immortal 2019 English dub will premiere on HIDIVE on October 30th.
