Dante is back with a new Devil May Cry anime series from Capcom, Studio Mir, and Adi Shankar, sure to get your blood pumping and show all kinds of style!
Announced today by Netflix during their Drop 01 event, the new series has gotten a teaser, giving a peek at fast-paced action and Dante’s winning smile.
Devil May Cry is an action-adventure series created by Hideki Kamiya and published by Capcom. It focuses on the Demon Hunter Dante as he faces off against repeated demonic threats to the world. Devil May Cry would go on to gain acclaim for its combat-style system, captivating story, and over-the-top fights.
The series got an anime adaptation in 2007 titled Devil May Cry: The Animated Series, a 12-episode series directed by Shin Itagaki, produced by Madhouse, and featured writing from Bingo Morihashi, one of the writers for the third and fourth games.
Its first season will reportedly have eight episodes, with the series running for five seasons total. It will feature a planned crossover with Netflix’s Castlevania series (which Adi Shankar also created).
Devil May Cry will premiere “soon” on Netflix.
