‘DRAGON BALL Z: Battle of Gods’  Celebrates its 10th anniversary with a return to theaters next month

An epic Dragon Ball Z story is set to make its return next month when Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods heads back to theaters to celebrate its 10th anniversary!

“Following the events from the “Dragon Ball Z” television series, after the defeat of Majin Buu, a new power awakens and threatens humanity. Beerus, an ancient and powerful God of Destruction, searches for Goku after hearing rumors of the Saiyan warrior who defeated Frieza. Realizing the threat Beerus poses to their home planet, the Z-fighters must find a way to stop him. Only Goku, humanity’s last hope, can ascend to the level of a legendary Super Saiyan God and stop Beerus from destroying Earth, and possibly the entire universe! Fans of Dragon Ball Z, one of the most successful anime brands of all time, will be delighted to know that Battle of Gods is an original work from the Dragon Ball creator himself, Akira Toriyama.”

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is directed by Masahiro Hosoda, with a screenplay by Yūsuke Watanabe, story by Akira Toriyama, music by Norihito Sumitomo, and production by Toei Animation. Set after the events of Dragon Ball Z’s Buu Saga, a new threat looms as Beerus, a God of Destruction, heads to Earth to challenge Goku, with the planet itself on the line!

The 10th-anniversary screening will be the never-before-seen in theaters extended cut of the film, adding 20 additional minutes to the theatrical cut.
