A remaster of the classic 1995 Gargoyle’s game has been announced!

Get ready for a trip to the past as Disney has announced a remaster of the classic 1995 game Gargoyles!

Gargoyles is based on the Disney animated series of the same name, which told the story of a group of Gargoyles who, after being frozen in their stone forms for 1000 years, are awoken in mid-1990’s New York, their castle home now atop a skyscraper.

The original Gargoyles game was released in 1995, and was developed by Disney Software and published by Buena Vista Interactive for the Sega Genesis. The game loosely follows the plot of the show and has players take on the role of Goliath as he attempts to destory the powerful Eye of Odin. Jump, glide, and climb across 5 levels that will take players from the ancient past to the rooftops of modern Manhattan while dealing with relentless enemy mobs and powerful bosses.

The remaster features enhanced visuals, animations, and sfx. The classic gameplay makes a return but with optional new features, letting you customize your experience with gameplay rewind, wide-screen presentation, and achievements. All of this alongside a remastered and optimized version of the original soundtrack.

Gargoyles Remastered will be available on October 19th for the Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam & GOG, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. You can pre-order it now.
