Add the isekai series “The Familiar of Zero” to your collection with its new Blu-ray release

Class is in session later this November when anime fantasy action-comedy anime series The Familiar of Zero heads to Blu-ray with a complete series Blu-ray release.

“Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière’s name is longer than her list of positive accomplishments at the Tristain Academy of Magic. Cursed by her fellow students with the horrible nickname “Louise the Zero”, she hopes that summoning a surprisingly strong Familiar will turn her luck around… but instead of some cool mythical creature, Louise summons a normal human from Japan! Now Sato Hiraga is magically bound to an incompetent sorceress, but there may be more to her seemingly mediocre magical powers than meets the eye in the spellbindingly complete collection of FAMILIAR OF ZERO!”

The Familiar of Zero began as a Japanese light novel series written by Noboru Yamaguchi (who sadly passed away before finishing the series. Its two volume conclusion written using his notes and with the blessing of his family), with illustrations by Eiji Usatsuka. The series is the story of a student at a magical academy who decides to summon a powerful familiar from another world but ends up getting a regular guy from Tokyo. It would later get an manga adaptation illustrated by Nana Mochizuki and published by Media Factory. The anime adaptation is produced by J.C. Staff.

The Familiar of Zero Complete Series release comes with all four seasons of the series, with English and Japanese (with English subtitles) options for the 1st season, and Japanese audio options (with English subtitles) for seasons 2-4, and the OVA Seductive Beach.

Special features include extended episode previews, Japanese promos, and textless versions of the opening and closing animations.
