Real-time strategy game ‘Dune: Spice Wars’ leaves early access next month

Dominate Arrakis and control the spice!

Shiro Games & Funcom has announced that their 4X real-time strategy game Dune: Spice Wars will be leaving early access, releasing version 1.0 next month.

“A 4X real-time strategy game from the developers of the critically acclaimed Northgard. Set in Frank Herbert’s groundbreaking Dune universe, you must lead your faction and battle for control and dominance over the harsh desert planet of Arrakis.”

Dune: Spice Wars is developed by Shiro Games and published by Funcom. Set in the Dune universe, the game tasks players will aim to take control of the planet Arrakis and its spice through diplomatically or militarily efforts. Control resources you can use to produce the materials to gain more power and build up your forces.

The game entered early access in April 2022, quickly gaining a lot of love from gamers.

Dune: Spice Wars 1.0 will release in September 2023 on Steam.
