The return of a classic: Nightdive Studios has announced a remaster of the 1995 FPS Star Wars™: Dark Forces has been announced.
Star Wars: Dark Forces was released in 1995 for Mac, MS-DOS, and the PlayStation 1. a FPS set in the Star Wars universe, players takes on the role of Kyle Katarn as he faces the dangers of the Galactic Empires Dark Trooper Project. He has to take on an army of powered up stormtroopers and new devastating battle droids. The game was developed and published by LucasArts and was the first game in the Star Wars Jedi Knight series.
Star Wars™: Dark Forces Remaster is being developed in collaboration between Nightdive Studios and Lucasfilm Games and remastered by Nightdive’s KEX engine. The game has gotten upgrades from the original and now supports up to 4K at 120FPS and features advanced 3D rendering, modern gamepad support, trophies & achievements, and more.
There is no release date for Star Wars™: Dark Forces Remaster, but it will be released for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox One Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Stay tuned for more information.
