You ready for a new semester filled with plenty of spy craft and espionage? You better be when Spy Classroom season 2 premieres on HIDIVE tomorrow (July 13, 2023).
“Conflict-ravaged nations now rely on espionage over weaponry. Lily is one of the many young agents in training, but her practical skills are absolutely abysmal. Desperate to score a passing grade, she leaps at the chance to join the mysterious team Lamplight and prove her worth. Too bad the team is filled with spies even more hopeless than Lily. Together these washouts must conquer their genius instructor, but the true purpose of their new classroom is more harrowing than they can imagine…”

Spy Classroom began as a light novel series written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari. In a world that has abandoned direct conflict after a devastating war, espionage has become the new and primary form of attacking each other. Spy schools help train this form of soldier, but when seven girls aren’t doing well in their school, they join the secretive Team Lamplight to prove they can spy in their own way. It would get a manga adaptation published by Media Factory and written by Takemachi, with illustrations by Kaname Seu for parts 1 & 3 and Benishake illustrating part 2.
The anime adaptation of Spy Classroom was directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi, written by Shinichi Inotsume, with music by Yoshiaki Fujisawa, and animation by feel.
Spy Classroom season 2 premieres on HIDIVE tomorrow, July 13, 2023, joining its Summer 2023 simulcast lineup. HIDIVE is also home to the first season, letting you catch up on all the spy shenanigans.
