Warner Bros. Has Released The Trailer For The Willy Wonka Prequel Movie

Get ready for a “world of pure imagination” when Wonka, a prequel movie to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, heads to theaters this December!

Wonka is a musical fantasy film directed by Paul King from a screenplay written by King and Simon Farnaby. A prequel to the classic Roald Dahl novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it will show the early career of the beloved chocolatier as he takes on oppressive competitors and a restrictive society. The movie stars Timothée Chalamet as Willy Wonka and will feature Calah Lane, Keegan-Michael Key, Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, Mathew Baynton, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carter, Olivia Colman, Natasha Rothwell, Rich Fulcher, Rakhee Thakrar, Tom Davis, and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith.

With an all-star cast, the trailer shows an imaginative story in a big world.

Wonka will premiere in theaters on December 15th.
