The anime movie adaption Akira Toriyama’s ‘Sand Land’ has gotten its first trailer

A new movie based on the manga created by Akira Toriyama.

The anime movie adaption of the manga series Sand Land will premiere this summer in Japan. Ahead of that premiere and to get fans hyped, it has released a full trailer, showing fun visuals and a bit of the sci-fi adventure comedy ahead!

Sand Land was written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama (the creator of Dragon Ball and character designer for and published in Weekly Shonen Jump. Set in a world ravaged by conflict and disasters, and now suffering from a devastating drought, the demon prince Beezlebub (the son of Lucifer) is asked by and an aging man to help find a new water supply.

The movie adaption is coming from Bandai Namco and is being co-produced by Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga, and Anima.

Sand Land will premiere in Japan on August 18, 2023.
