As we reported earlier, Tokyo Mew Mew was set to announce a new project today. As many fans expected, the project was revealed to be a new anime series project set in the world of Tokyo Mew Mew!
The Tokyo Mew Mew Nya ~ ♡ anime project was announced alongside auditions for the show’s lead role of Ichigo Momomiya. Auditions will be held through the Mysta app until Monday, May 11, 2020. Successful applicants will receive an exclusive contract with Pony Canyon’s Swallow voice actor office and will continue the role as a member of a Tokyo Mew Mew based voice actor idol group. Applicants are being asked to show off their skills as a voice actor, dancer, and singer.
The Tokyo Mew Mew anime started roughly 20 years ago in April of 2002. Running for 52 episodes, the series has become a shōjo classic, getting video games, CDs, and eventually a two-volume sequel manga series.
This is exciting news for the Tokyo Mew Mew fanbase. Not only has it returned, but it is coming back strong! No details currently on a possible release window but you can follow the official site for more.
