‘The Tale of The Princess Kaguya’ Heading To Theaters Mid-December

As a part of this year’s Ghibli Fest and thanks to GKIDS films & Fathom Events, Isao Takahata’s ‘The Tale of The Princess Kaguya‘ will be heading to select theaters nationwide later this month.

Found inside a shining stalk of bamboo by an old bamboo cutter and his wife, a tiny girl grows rapidly into an exquisite young lady. The mysterious young princess enthralls all who encounter her – but ultimately, she must confront her fate, the punishment for her crime.

Produced by the much-beloved Studio Ghibli, the film tells the tale of a girl who is destined to face the world, Princess Kaguya is celebrated as a unique and genre-defying story brought to the screen by Studio Ghibli co-founder Isao Takahata.
