Ghostbusters Sequel Not Likely Following 70 Million Dollar Loss

The new Ghostbusters reboot will likely not be receiving a sequel as almost a month following it’s release, it has made back it’s full 144 million dollar budget but not it’s full cost. That number doesn’t include it’s marketing and tie in game which increases the price to be estimated slightly under 300 million dollars.

At the moment it sits roughly at having made around 180 million dollars of that 300 million back.

Many want to point at the people who were not excited or supported the all female cast but it’s more the fault of the over inflated Hollywood movie machine. Large budgets make poor returns common when blockbusters are not as high demand as the market may project.
International releases have yet to occur world wide but it’s doubted that it will help do more than break even.
